Katatonia premiere touching video for song "Shifts"
Ahead of the European tour in support of their new album, the Swedish band Katatonia presents a new video for the song "Shifts", directed by Lasse Hoile.
The guitarist Anders Nyström comments: "As the music for this song unfolded it took off in a different direction from usually what we do. Driven by its gentle, lush and shimmering rendition of melancholy it would take you for a waltz daydreaming of the past, longing for the happiest times of your life, only to find that when the dance is over, emptiness has filled another chamber of your heart. Both Jonas [the vocalist Jonas Renkse — Noizr] and Lasse enhanced these ideas into beautifully told lyrics and a simple, but very touching video."
The song "Shifts" appeared on Katatonia’s new album "The Fall Of Hearts", which was recorded for the first time with the band’s new drummer Daniel 'Mojjo' Moilanen and guitarist Roger Öjersson (Tiamat).
