Lightning injures 33 people at Rock am Ring Fest [Video of Storm]

The Guardian, 33 people were injured because of lightning strikes at Rock am Ring festival. The incident happened on Saturday night in Mending, western Germany.
According to police, the first lightning hit the backstage area at about 1am, hurted eight people of the festival's staff. Later, the organizers halted concerts and offered visitors to hide under the lightning-proof tents. The second lightning struck the camping area before 4am, bringing the total number of injured persons to 33. All of those people had been taken to hospital and were in good health. No one suffered a direct hit.
The festival's organizers hadn't yet made any comment about the incident. Rock am Ring continues its work as planned and finishes this Sunday.
About 90,000 music fans were expected at the event, which is being headlined by Foo Fighters, The Prodigy, Die Toten Hosen and Slipknot.
