Fear Factory show the forthcoming "Genexus" album trailer
The American industrial metallers Fear Factory unveiled the trailer for the upcoming ninth album "Genexus". In the video you can listen to the snippet of the band's new track "Protomech".
"The word genexus is a hybrid of two words; genesis and nexus," — the vocalist Burton C. Bell explains: "This word describes the next transition in human evolution as man moves forward to a 'mechanical' state of being. Ray Kurzweil (the American inventor and futurist — Noizr) predicts that the singularity will occur around 2045. Genexus is the term for that next evolutionary process. Where humans are machines, machines are human and the differences are oblivious to the naked eye."
The album was produced by Rhys Fulber, along with Fear Factory's guitarist Dino Cazares and vocalist Burton C. Bell. Mixed by Andy Sneap, who previously worked with Testament, Arch Enemy, Exodus and Machine Head. The artwork was created by the artist Anthony Clarkson. "Genexus" will be released on August 7 via Nuclear Blast.
In July, the band is going on European tour in the album supporting.
