Fan compiled video of live footages to Anthrax anniversary
On Monday, July 18, the New York-based thrash metallers Anthrax celebrated the 35th anniversary of their career. The musicians received a gift from the fan who created the video compilation "35 And Counting", consisting of the band’s live shows over the last 30 years with the live sound of the song "Antisocial", performed in 1988. The clip, compiled by David Taylor, can be seen above.
Said co-founder Scott Ian,"Thirty-five years have passed since that day and my life has changed profoundly. I am a husband, I am a father. I am a long way from the 17-year-old soon-to-be-college dropout who co-founded a heavy metal band. The only thing that hasn’t changed in 35 years, the one constant, is that I am still the rhythm guitar player in Anthrax. It’s what I GET to do. I GET to play in a band and I never take that for granted."
We would like to remind you that back in 2014, Deep Purple presented the video for the song "Smoke On The Water", created by the band’s fan Robbie Newby from archival videos and photos, which were made more than 40 years ago.
