Pink Floyd release a new album "The Endless River" after 20 years

Pink Floyd has released a new full-length album "The Endless River". Their last record "The Division Bell" came out in 1993.

"The Endless River" was recorded during "The Division Bell" sessions in 1993. At that time, David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason played together at Britannia Row and Astoria studios. Last time musicians had similar sessions during the recording of "Wish You Were Here" in the seventies. As a result of such jam-sessions some music appeared on the fourteenth studio album "The Division Bell".

In 2013, David Gilmour and Nick Mason decided that music recorded during their meetings should be available as a part of Pink Floyd's repertoire. According to the official website, the band has spent last year recording and upgrading the music, using the advantages of modern studio technology to create "The Endless River". The new album is a tribute to Richard Wright, whose keyboards are at the heart of Pink Floyd's sound.

"The Endless River" is mostly instrumental album with one song "Louder Than Words", words for which were written by the novelist Polly Samson, who was also co-wrote many of "The Division Bell" lyrics. The album was arranged across four sides and produced by David Gilmour, Phil Manzanera, Youth and Andy Jackson.

"The Endless River" is available on standard CD, double vinyl and special Deluxe edition, which includes: 24-page booklet in hard cover, including previously unseen photographs from 1993 sessions at Astoria studio by Jill Furmanovsky; CD; DVD (NTSC) or BLU-RAY disc; three Collectors' full colour postcards, one of which with 3D Lenticular design.

DVD and BLU-RAY also include 6 videos ("Anisina", Untitled, "Evrika (A)", "Nervana", "Allons-y", "Evrika (B)") and 3 audio tracks ("TBS9", "TBS14", "Nervana"), not available on other album's releases.
