News in brief: Sven Gali, A Shoreline Dream, The Hiraeth, Motanka, and 156/Silence
New releases and news from Ukrainian and foreign rock highlights, including the Canadian band Sven Gali, the American acts A Shoreline Dream and 156/Silence, as well as the Ukrainian outfits The Hiraeth and Motanka.
The Canadian rockers Sven Gali, ahead of their performance at the Hair Metal Heaven Festival in the UK, presented the lyric video for the new single "Kill The Lies". That would be the band's first UK show in 25 years.
The American band A Shoreline Dream released a music video for the new single "Waitout", directed by the band’s frontman Ryan Policky.
Kyiv-based group The Hiraeth released the debut video for the song "Puppet". According to the musicians, the music clip was inspired by the work of Wes Anderson. The filming process was headed by the famous Ukrainian director Volodymyr Shtun, who has previously collaborated with such bands as Jinjer, Space Of Variations, Septa, Sinoptik, etc.
In early August, the Ukrainian group Motanka took the second place at the international battle of one of the largest European metal festivals Wacken Open Air. Among 30 bands from all over the globe, the first place was taken by the Chinese act Die From Sorrow, and Top-5 featured bands An Theos (Romania), Xenoblight (Denmark), and Chugger (Sweden).
Pittsburgh’s hardcore/metal outfit 156/Silence has released a new track called "Fake It". The song is featured on the band’s forthcoming record, "Undercover Scumbag", which will be released on September 14, 2018, via Innerstrength Records.
