"Hiss Spun": Chelsea Wolfe streams her "very personal" new album in full
The American singer/songwriter Chelsea Wolfe released her fifth album "Hiss Spun" on September 22 via Sargent House.
"The album is cyclical, like me and my moods," Wolfe says of "Hiss Spun". "Cycles, obsession, spinning, centrifugal force – all with gut feelings as the center of the self." And it’s an album that Wolfe sees as a kind of exorcism. "I’m at odds with myself… I got tired of trying to disappear. The record became very personal in that way. I wanted to open up more, but also create my own reality."
It’s reported that the guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age's musician and former member of A Perfect Circle), took part in "Hiss Spun" recording. In August, Wolfe released a video for the single from the upcoming album, "16 Psyche", which you can watch at the bottom of the page.
