Amenra, DHG, Svartidauði, Zhrine: Ascension fest announces new bands

Icelandic black metal festival Ascension has announced new bunch of bands for 2020's event. Among the announced performing acts are Amenra, Abominor, Rebirth of Nefast, Dødheimsgard (DHG), Kollaps, Soft Kill, Shrine of Insanabilis, Forsmán, Fleshworld, :Of The Wand & The Moon:, Svartidauði, and Zhrine.

A list of all currently confirmed bands can be viewed above. Ascension MMXX will be held from May 21 to May 23 at the Hlégarður in Mosfellbær, Iceland.

The previous Ascension festival was held from June 13-15, 2019, with Antaeus, Gost, King Dude, Bölzer, Misþyrming, Sinmara, Solstafir, Zhrine and others as performing bands. In addition to performances by musical acts, the festival also hosted exhibitions by French artist and designer Dehn Sora (Amenra, Blut aus Nord, In the Woods..., Merrimack, Sektarism) and German photographer Void Revelations (Misþyrming, Whoredom Rife, King Dude, Chelsea Wolfe).
